Starting the New year on the right foot as we always do... Eating right, exercise, going to church what ever your resolution was. Remember it has been stated but it really should be wriiten down for all to see- especially those who love you! They are what will make it happen for you or they will be what breaks it for you. It's funny while trying to do this all on my own; I never had the support of anyone but those of you on Sparks. In my own home everyone around me had no clue of my struggles. They know I am over weight, but what I really struggle with from one day to the next like at 2:45 pm every day I have to eat popcorn the problem with that is on the weekends when we are with our loved ones at 2:45 pm they will break out all sorts of other junk food and well what happened to my popcorn it gets lost and I eat the junk food right with them. So if I loose a pound or two durning the week with all my efforts I gain it back in 2 days!! This is when life really gets frustrating.
So this year I have the kids involved- I am teaching our son the proper way to lift weights (my new partner). My youngest daughter is riding bike with me (Mountain Bikeing in the snow; totally new experience- hard and so fun!), and the oldest daughter is learning to cook so she has been looking up new healthy recipes that she thinks we will all love. My Hubby well he is still working to hard and I haven't had the chance to talk with him or figure out how he will help me along with this journey but I will (1st chance will be on Sunday to talk to him - before Dallas plays).
I even place my goal runner up on the fridge for everyone to see and help keep me focused. The kids are loving trying new fruits and veggies prepared all different ways.
Who new pineapples, chicken, peppers, onions and salsa was so good together!!
I will enjoy my journey this year with my sparks friends and my family!!
