Weight Loss Goals for 2010

An admirable team goal set by the SP Class of January 4-10, 2009 is to blog about our goals and progress. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to blog here or elsewhere, but here goes.
When I started my weight loss journey last year, I only had to lose 10 lb. I actually got down to within 4 pounds of my goal. Then I went on vacation. Then I lost control. I found myself then with 15 pounds to lose. The only good thing I can say about this is that I didn't give up. I came back and restarted my weight ticker after I had lost a few of those pounds. (It is not updated honestly at this point in time!)
My weight loss goal is simple: Lose those last 7 pounds and keep them off. Forever.
I plan to do this by:
- Staying within my calorie range each day
- Walking 10K steps per day
- Getting support
With regards to getting support SP has been invaluable to me for this. I cannot tell you how much it warms my heart to get words of encouragement and 'goodies' from my fellow Sparkers. I know that when I tell you all that I 'failed' at maintaining my weight over the holidays the only thing I will hear back are words of support and encouragement. So here I go again. 7 lb to go!
