  Thanks Char for all the spark goodies. I am sorry that I am not on here more often but I am thinking about my S.T.O.P team all the time. If only I could pick it up a knotch. I lose maybe 1 lbs two weeks in a row then that TOM comes to visit and stops everything. lol well keep up the good work everyone.

    I did good for one day until I let my stress/emotions take over and not care what I eat. I really need to figure a way to get over/control of this!

    Did really good today. Eat healthy and within calories. How's everyone else doing?

Kind of had an awakening yesterday. I knew I was overweight but in my head I was not as "fat" as I saw I was yesterday in a full length mirror. View should keep me on track for quite awhile!

    Sorry I haven't been on this week. At the moment I only have internet when I am at work and then only when I have time. We are in the middle of the move to the new house and my DSL connection has been switch to there. What really bugged me was they shut it off at the old house Fri morn but didn't get it working at the new house until yesterday. Still won't have evening connection as it will be a few days until we are staying there in the evening.

    Terri - Sound like you've had a rough week, I hope it's getting better. PMS sucks! I hit menopause 5 years ago & still have PMS along with the lovely hot flashes. Sounds like you are on the right track by going to the gym to make yourself feel better! WAY TO GO!

1 day to weigh-in & I sure hope to see the scale go down this week...I've been working 14 hour days for the last 13 days straight & it's killing me...another week down, still no exercise :o( I have tried to make good food choices but haven't had the time to measure much so we'll see tomorrow...

    I think I'm PMS too. I had a uterine ablation so I don't have actual periods so I'm oblivious until I get cravings, etc. I'm finally off today after 3 twelve hour shifts. I'm gonna go to the gym, that will make me feel better :)

    Maybe put some post-it notes on the things you are not supposed to eat with little reminders of why you don't want to eat them (not just that they aren't on your list of ok foods but actual goals, etc.

You'll get over it. It is just a bump in the road.

    I need some encouragement. I have had some drama with my old and new boyfriends. I ended up telling new bf about old bf and reconciled with him. It was hard, but the right thing to do. Since all this, I have lost focus and have been binging and eating foods not on my South Beach plan like white bread, candy pieces, chips, even nachos! I don't know why. I feel happy, but don't want to gain weight!
It's emotional eating, I know.

    Well I didn't do so good this week either...I'm up 1.8 emoticon

Too much work, too little food measuring last week. I thought I was doing OK but obviously not. This week is another crazy work week but I WILL take time to log & measure food.

So let's kick some butt this week! WE CAN DO IT!!

    I've been a lousy captain this week...sorry. Didn't get home until late (8 pm) most days and did a lot of stress eating. Will do better this week, like actually making my strength training schedule. Gotta get to work now.

I didn't lose any this week I stayed the same. I worked hard went to the gym every day except one day. I will work hard this week again to see if I can change this number. Good Luck everyone. Hope you all do better than me. I will check back later. I am under a Little stress these days. We started our strike at work today. So last week I wasn't sleeping that well. I hope it don't last.

  Way to go chargers... We are doing so good. I wanted to tell you guys that I will not participate in the DTC because I have a workout made for me by the trainer at the gym. My own workout. It is so good I love it. I don't want to do both. So I am not getting lazy, just doing something different. I am also doing cardio. Hope everyone is doing good this week.

    We did great! If you look in the stats thread you will see DAISYLADY's breakdown. We tied for first place as the most lost by the team!

I had a great week but unfortunately couldn't combat the water/altitude gain from being in Durango at the wedding this weekend. I gained .6 but am not deterred. I think it will drop plus more this week! I am so happy for everyone on the team with such big losses! I already exercised today and am slamming the water.

Way to go wispine, Glad you got tough with yourself lol. It sure feels good when you do that.keep up the good work. And we would love for you to join us in the DTC.
Way to go Char on completing the DTC and your on to this weekends challenge of cardio.
Where are you tbear130 I know you said you have troubles with weekends. Hope you are doing fine.
Aramoino the weight watchers diet is a good one and it works if you follow it. I used to be on it. Hope you are staying on the wagon this weekend too lol.
I am doing good I just came back from the gym done my cardio and some strength training. I didn't do much yesterday Had a bad day with that TOM. some times it gets really bad and yesterday was one of them I didn't even get to work. Oh well it could be worse. But I stayed within my calorie range so far this weekend. Weekends are the worst for me. But with the weigh in on Monday I cannot afford to mess up on the weekend now. That's good.

I'm plugging along this week & sure hope the scale shows it on Monday. I REALLY wanted a couple drinks last night but knowing I had to weigh on Monday I said "NO", that's a 1st in a long time for me and I'm feeling pretty good about it today, not so much last night...but I got through it!

    Hey There All!

Terri - Have a great time this weekend, just remember moderation & you'll be fine. I love Durango, it is so beautiful there. I'm from Denver, moved to SW Florida last year. I'm impressed going to the gym after 12 hrs of work! I have issues exercising after only a couple hours.

So far so good here, other than being over the weight limit for the Wii balance board...I got the Wii last July & did good for about a month & was really excited to get the Wii Fit Plus & get back into it, plugged it in & it said I'm too heavy now :o( but I am now more determined then before. I did manage to complete the daily torture yesterday & I'm trying my hardest today, I think crunches are my worst area.

    Hi Chargers!
I wanted to check in since it's day 3. I have been doing well planning my meals and avoiding bread and sugar. My mantra "no sugar will pass my lips!"
My friends at work laugh but when I say it, then there's an element of accountability. I think my stomach is getting flatter (I started tracking for 1.5 wk ago). It is a good feeling and I feel more in control with a plan.
I actually went to the gym Monday night after my 12 hour work day. I did 20 min on a bike. Better than nothing. It was really crowded there! I guess it's all the NY resolutions! LOL
This weekend I am going with my boyfriend's family to his daughter's wedding in Durango, CO. I will have to make a good effort to eat healthy and not drink too much. We are planning to snowshoe one day. My bf had a recent surgery so he can't ski this time.

Lisa, I have a big cheese weakness too! It is on my food log every day.

    Hi, Team. You'll find I don't post much. I'm a 'lurker' for the most part!

I'm doing Weight Watchers - so I'm counting points instead of calories. I hate exercise and just don't do it. I know I could eat more if I exercised - but I just can't get myself to do it. I am trying to walk up the stairs at work each morning (I work on the 4th floor) - and I try to get away from my desk for a 10 minute walk a couple times a day - but I haven't managed to do it yet this week!

I live in Illinois and am not enjoying the snow and colde this winter. More snow due tomorrow and Thursday.

So, I'll be around - but I won't be posting much! emoticon

    Hi everyone...

Thanks Char for the blog & being our fearless leader!

I am so looking forward to this challenge & the accountability that I desperately need. I've been on a backward slide for about 4 months now...old habits die hard. But, I am determined to bury them for good this year!

My goals are:
1500ish calories daily
12 waters daily
exercise of some sort 4x weekly
alcohol only once monthly :o(

Exercise & cheese are my weakest points - I HATE the 1st one & LOVE the 2nd. But I am determined to work on those areas...

Can't wait to get to know you all!

    I don't follow a specific diet plan (ie. South Beach), just try to focus on eating better foods (whole grains instead of simple carbs, limit saturated fats, lots of fruits and veggies, no high fat proteins, etc.)

I know I do better when I track my food here, so that is going to be one of my top priorities.

I do have a weakness for chocolate and having too much going on at once that I lose focus. Own a restaurant so rarely eat out so that is not a problem and work 7 days a week so don't have a "weekend" to worry about.

    Hi All - Just thought I would peek in to say Hi and wish the Charging Charmers a great journey with this challenge.

Terri - You ask a great question - I think I will try to answer that in a group mail because I am sure there are others that are curious. Also, you can't overcome issues until you admit you have them - so you are on your way to success already.

Trudy - Thats why I like Monday weigh in - it helps me to behave over the weekend - How I look forward to MOnday Nite popcorn. MA

Thank you Char,for this blog and hope everyone comes on here and chats. and I am ready I have to lose at least 15 lbs this challenge. What I will do to achieve this will be:
Eating healthy
Track food and stay within range
Drink 8 cups water or more
Exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week
I am the worst for weekends,& chocolate.

Thanks Char for making this blog. I am hoping to get some accountability and encouragement here. Do we win by amount lost or are there other things we keep up with for scores to compete?
My plan to lose weight is:
South Beach diet
8 cups h20 per day
exercise 3-4 days/wk
track all food here (within cal range)

I do have some issues with eating out or having alcohol a few nights a week.
