first weigh-in of 2010

i avoided official weigh-ins like the plague during the holiday season. i made the decision that i was going to focus on simply maintaining during the holidays, and enjoy myself, relax, what have you. i kept weighing myself periodically to keep myself in check, but i wasn't actively trying to lose weight. did i work out as much as i should have? no effing way. did i track all my food? nope. (but a couple of days i did! that was a triumph in itself.)

so i'm starting 2010 off at 220.4. i'm cool with that. but this is the last time i'll weigh this much! i need to lose at least 6.3 pounds per month to reach my goal of losing 75 pounds by next january. i'm setting a short-term weight loss goal of getting under 200 by march 15...that's more than 6.3 per month, but i'm thinking it's doable. it's on!

    OMG I would LOVE to be under 200 by march 15!! Josh and I are taking a weekend trip to Galena in an awesome private cottage for our 1 year anniversary on March 19-21! I just might join you in that goal of yours!!

    You can totally lose that much by March... the weight loss will slow down when you've got less to lose but for now you can totally do 8-10 I bet!

    I weighed in this morning myself despite not wanting to because I couldn't work out =[

    You did awesome though and I think that starting at 220 for the year is an awesome round number =] You can totally do it!

    I set a goal to lose like...60 pounds by next december 31st.

    You can do it. I also set a goal of losing 80 pounds (or more) in the year 2010. It is doable when broken down month by month, week by week, day by day. I am sure we both can reach our goals and will feel better for it. I also have made myself weigh in during the holidays, and I've made sure I've taken off any holiday weight before the new year.

    I am having my first weigh in of 2010 in an hour and I am kind of nervous/excited!! Haha. I actually worked my ASS off the 2 days before new years day so I'm hoping for atleast a 1 lb drop. I am trying to loose 6 pounds a month to get my goal of 140 by 4/19.
    Good luck on your weighloss goals! I say the same thing to myself if I feel disgusted with my weight "this is the last time I'll weigh this much.:

    You're doing better than me! haha. Tomorrow will be my first official weigh in of the year. I already know I've gained a couple pounds over the holidays, but I'm going to start 2010 fresh with a new ticker :) You've set some very doable goals - I know you can do it! :)

    Awesome goal! I haven't stepped on the scale yet...a bit afraid but I'm going to do it tomorrow morning come hell or high water! I have an unofficial time of June to lose 35lbs which is about 6lbs a month but as long as I lose it by the end of the year I'll be cool with that. I just picked June as that's when I start half training and I know weight loss will slow down a bit with compensating for fuel!

    We're going to have an awesome year and reach ALL of our goals together!

    Hey Court, I'm at 220.5 right now! So we're starting off the year at the same weight!

    I'm 5'6" too, so it'll be interesting to see what we can do this year. I set a goal of under 200 by April 1 and hit my goal of 150 by the end of November. So it seems like we're in the same boat completely! So let's do this thing together!

    you can do it. i am setting a goal of 8 pounds per month, i hope that is not to high, 2 pounds per week. dr has me on a very low carb diet and first week I lost 4 pounds
    so 2 should be doable. i look forward to following your results. good luck
