Starting the New Year off right!

Friday, January 01, 2010

Even though I was up late last night having fun with the doughty crew of the USS Quantum, I got up and jogged 10K this morning. And I felt good afterwards, not all OH GOD.

It does seem, though, that one of my 10K goals is going to be "do the whole thing without a bathroom break at the midpoint."

I saw a volume of Lebowski Studies at the bookstore. Unfortunately, when I randomly opened up, I saw a page of meandering, irrelevant writing. I'm not gonna say it's inappropriate to the topic, but it didn't inspire me to get the book.

Sadly, Lebowski sold out before we left the house! At least we were spared the misery of a frozen drive to find out.

Also, probably no ok to wear costume on Shomer Shabbos! Unless, its an emergency. Lebowskifest sounds awesome! Gorn has own sparkly pink & purple bowling ball. Gorn love bowling!

Does Gorn know about Lebowskifest in Louisville? I've been a couple of times. Unlimited bowling (but not on Shabbos), White Russians, screening of the movie ... sometimes even guest appearances by actors. Plus: costume contest!

Gorn is missing out on a showing of Big Lebowski?! This aggression will not stand!

I plan to start the year right by going to a midnight showing of The Big Lebowski, with drink specials. If White Russians are not on the list, the Alamo Drafthouse has much to answer for. Perhaps Gorn can come stomp them.
