Still blogging daily, and a confession

Thursday, December 31, 2009

Here is a quick blog entry as I'm going to bed SOON! I just don't want to miss a blog since I'm trying to do a blog each day. Today's blog is a confession and a request for support. I got a piece of mail today that I desperately don't want to open but which I know I will need to open at least before I go back to work on Monday. I did not open it. It could be good but I can only imagine bad scenarios from opening it. If you've been reading my blogs you know I have a problem with opening mail and with anxiety over quite easy things which prevents me from getting things done. I'm just writing this out so at least you all know about it. So there's my confession. I know my next step has to be to open the letter, but I'm not going to tonight. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hey, I just realized this says it's a blog for thursday, but that's a timing thing - I'm central time, so it's still wednesday for me!

I am so with you on avoiding mail based on neg predictions. I hope your lack of blogs isn't cause you've gotten yourself stuck. If it is, reach out with both hands and we'll pull you out!

Believe in yourself. Strength comes within our own selves, when you learn to harness that inner strength and let your inner eye guide you through the tough times, it will be the most powerful thing you will ever have, good luck!

Be confident. There are only words in the envelope. Choose to not let them control you. Keep believing in yourself. Remember to smile when you open it and say, I command thee to come forth.

I fully understand about your anxiety about opening the letter. I, too, go thru that from time to time. So, I can tell you this - most of the time it isn't as bad as we dreamed it up in our heads and we only get more anxious if we wait..
Open the letter and get it ove with. Chances are it isn't as bad as you think and it will relieve a lot of stress...

You'll open the mail when the time is right for you and I hope it contains something positive to start the New Year off right!

I know how you feel, I have similar feelings sometimes. My approach is that delaying opening the mail changes absolutely nothing in terms of content. The contents aren't going to change. Delaying opening allows you time to become more anxious, thinking the worst, and not really knowing so not being able to make plans or decisions. It isn't like you are going to be relaxed and enjoy your self while the letter remains unopened, does it?

So if it was me I'd open it. See what it says and then if I was to lose sleep over the contents it would at least be because I was trying to sort out what I needed to do, and not over what I thought the letter might contain. If you've gone to bed - sleep well and I hope tomorrow is a good day.

Thinking of you -Delwyn

I hope your mail is good new, just a tip in your account options you can set the time so that it changes to the next day at midnight your time :)
