was today. I didn't do horrible. I managed not to have any of the gift basket a physician brought to our office this morning.
Now keep in mind, I did not do any shopping before I decided today would be day one. This is about making small modifications from the norm.
I had a fairly healthy breakfast burrito-had bacon, green peppers, onions, eggs, tomatoes and cheese sauce-not heavy sauce more of a light sauce. I'm not trying to make this sound like a taco bell burrito. It's actually very light but filling without being greasy and leaving you tired.
For lunch I had another burrito but ate the inside mainly. Our deli puts white rice, black beans and spicy chicken in their lunch burritos. I did mix about 2 tablespoons of sour cream with it. I also bought 1 bag of Doritos. Looking back on this now, I should've gone w/a baked bag of Doritos. The salad bar was not that appealing so I went with this lunch instead. Also, I used to buy 2 bags of Doritos and only got one. I had also been eating a brownie later in the afternoon and today I did not. I saved the Doritos until about 3 hours later which is a change for me.
I had to go to my car to get something so I got in a 10 minute walk that concluded with my going up 4 flights of stairs.
Right now I've been home almost an hour and had 2 Twisted Polly-O string cheese sticks. I need to work on my dinner. As there are not a whole lot of options right now, it will either be tater tots or leftover Stouffer's mac & cheese. Ok, make that mac & cheese.
Today wasn't a horrible day-lots of drama at work. However, I managed to get through it without turning to chocolate or other sweets. (Oh and I had my boss hide one of the boxes of sugar cookies until after the new year. I figure by then I should be doing better with my food choices). Also, I had a great evaluation from my boss. I was so happy that the other drama didn't seem as important. It really made me feel valued and part of the team.
So today was
and I'm proud of what I have accomplished. Less of the bad stuff plus I was able to get 10 minutes of exercise. Oh and I almost forgot: I got in 80oz of water today!
Tomorrow, I will shoot for an actual workout video-either Biggest Loser or Leslie Sansone. But I will do something because something IS BETTER than NOTHING!
