John

Sunday, December 20, 2009

The nurse woke me up at 4am,John was shaking uncontrollably, his temp was good but suddenly shot to 104.2 and the seizures began,I called 911 and rode in the squad with them,John began to stabilize so they started an IV,we got to the hospital,John began to seize again.Dr.was right on top of it,and I Thank God,he had a heart and was very attentive. A cat scan was done to see if my John had stones but no.Finally the Chest x-ray came back with right lung pneumonia I was shocked! Than I began to weep, and the good Dr. put his arms around me,as I felt I hadn't taken care of my Son well enough. The Dr. assured me,I felt better.

I put my head on my childs chest to rest after I turned the lights off,John was sleeping,I was Praying, resting when all of a sudden,John just shook terribly yelled for the Dr. and they again gave him more medicine-his dilantin level was at 9!!!!!!

Today I went to see John in ICU,he was half awake but all vital signs normal,Thank God. Now the Dr. ( I use to work with him) taking care of John told me he has sepsis!!!! Its an infection in his blood! Again I felt responsible,as If I didn't keep everything completely clean, but I knew better.

The Dr. said it was a good thing we brought my John in when we did as the sepsis can be deadly. John will have an IV for 10 days so I told the Dr. rather asked if John will be able to come home for Christmas and he said he's not sure,so please, please send your Prayers/positive thoughts, good karma to my childs way.

I'm so thankful for spark.Ive come to care so much for all of you, even though we haven't met in person. When I'm in trouble,I always turn to my friends,Spark-Much Love Kathleen

From one Kathleen to another... you and John will be in my prayers! God is good and He is in control. I thank Him that you got John to the hospital in time before it could have been worse. I pray that God will give John's caretakers the wisdom they need to get him through this so he can get well and out of there as soon as possible.

God Bless You!

Kat
