Thank the Lord for Fridays

Saturday, December 19, 2009

It has been a hard week. It is the busiest time of the year for us and should stay that way until the spring thaw.

That means there is the stress of getting the work done quickly but without making any mistakes (not always at my best when I hurry.)

There is also one person who I have some trouble relating to, as I find her to be quite officious.

So now it is the weekend, and I get two whole days without having to contend with her.

On the other hand, it is going to be a very busy weekend. my sister wants to go to Costco so I am going to tag along as I need quite a few things as well.

Her daughter is turning 28 (or is it 29) tomorrow, but it is their ward (church) Christmas party so should be going to that, and my niece wants to have a fondue, so we will be trying to get that set up but she will be having it on Sunday so her parents can go the the Christmas Party

So that all means a pretty busy weekend for me as well. However, the weatherman has been predicting freezing rain or snow, and if that happens, all bets are off as BIL will be out on the tractor clearing and sanding sidewalks. Oh the joys of winter. He is legally liable if someone hurts themselves if he doesn't clean the walk ways, so he often has to put aside his personal plans. I remember one year he had to go out Christmas day because it had snowed over night.

Well, I'm off to bed to watch a good movie if I can find one. I tape most of the movies I watch, just so I can find out "who dunnit" or whatever because I always fall asleep during the good ones. On the other had, I can't seem to fall asleep at all when the movie is not very good. I just toss and turn and switch channels.....................

Have a good night all.
