The Weekend Is Here...Words CANNOT express how happy this makes me!

Friday, December 18, 2009

I have been waiting for the weekend since Wednesday. So much drama at work!

Then I decided to brave the streets as the snow begin to fall to get some much needed grocery shopping done at Wegmans. A ride that would normally take me 10-15 minutes ended up taking almost 40 minutes. I didn't realize until I got home how shaky I was. Normally I just want DH to help take groceries out of the car. Tonight I told him I would let him unload.

Going to the store was fine. It was the drive back on the hilly roads that had me nervous. This was one of the first times I remember being scared to drive in the snow. Usually, in Northern Virginia, the roads don't get slippery that quick. I thought I had time. Obviously I didn't. Lots of people were slipping, getting stuck in the median or just plain sliding. So I was sure to just take my time.

I am so thankful that the weekend is here. I am looking forward to getting updated with my Spark friends. Maybe this weekend we'll get this computer set up properly. We shall see what happens!

Hope everyone has a relaxing & peaceful weekend!

Boy do I empathize. I left Walmart, just minutes from Wegman's and it took almost THREE hours to go all the way down Dale Blvd. It was scary! Glad you made it safely.

I am glad you got home safe and sound. This snow storm my dear is the worst one of a decade. It has nor snowed like this in years. It is two storms coming together in one monster of a storm that can dump up to 2 feet down there. As I am writing this the TV just said that Virginia and Maryland have both called for a state of emergency.

I'm glad you made it home safely.
I hate driving in the winter. I would prefer to only leave my house when the weather is perfect.
Hopefully this weekend you can find some time to unwind and just take care of yourself.

I am so glad that you got home safely and that all is well. I certainly can relate because I had to drive in this crazy snow too! I am proud of you for telling your DH to go get the groceries. Especially after yesterday when he was NOT being very helpful at all. I love you my friend. Get in out of the snow and stay safe and warm. Love, Dawn emoticon
