Four days until Race Day! And I really did not plan this well, because this is exam week and I've been barely running at all!
On Monday I had my first exam after taking the weekend off training to study. Monday evening, after the exam, I was so stressed and nervous about how I'd done I went to my school gym, intending to run 5km, but felt sick and heartburnish so just walked for half an hour instead. Some lifting also helped me blow off steam in a non-stressful way.
It's now Wednesday, and I have two exams tomorrow (one early in the morning, one late in the evening, what is that), and if I manage to run today I'll be pretty proud. My sister has a doctor's appointment, and then we're intending to go to the gym straight after.
So here's my plan:
Wednesday (today)- run 5km to get back into the swing of things, followed by 1hr yoga class.
Thursday (between exams)- run 7.5 km at the school gym, strength workout.
Friday- weigh-in that morning, run 10km outside
Saturday- rest and stretch, hydrate. Lots of sleep!
Sunday- RACE DAY!
Any thoughts of finishing under an hour have been completely pushed out of my mind by this point. I'm aiming for 1h15minutes and I'll be damn proud of myself for it.
