Grateful and Blessed..

Monday, December 14, 2009

To be a part of this wonderful team. Thank you for recognizing me as Team Family Member of the Day! I feel honored and blessed to be a part of the 50lb Challenge Team Family. This is definitely my second home.

I've found so much support here whether I'm going through a hard time or whether I've a victory. You all and your blogs & support mean the world to me and make ALL the difference in me, my attitude and more over, my weight loss journey!

No finer example of this than yesterday when I posted my blog of frustration. You all rallied and gave me positive thoughts, a new way of looking at things, and goodies. I thank you.

Last night my daughter fell asleep just before 7 after being somewhat cranky and not taking a nap earlier in the day. Just after 8 she woke and was boiling-temperature of 103.7. I was really worried. I gave her Motrin and then a couple of hours later she was asleep. She woke again at 3am saying "Mommy, I'm hot" and then she was 102.4. I took her to the doctor's later this morning and she had gone back up to 103.7 by then. She's had no other symptoms and the doctor said the flu test was negative-however most of them her she said. So now my sweet angel is sleeping. My heart is sad that she will not get to sing in the Christmas program tomorrow that she's been looking forward to for the past few weeks. She doesn't know yet and I'm trying not to mention it.

But my friends here at Spark have truly helped to make my day brighter, despite everything else that's going. Thank you for your faith in me! Thank you for your belief in me. But most of all thank you for your friendship!

I hope that Emma will be well soon. Children are so resilient. I like Yvonne's idea of a special mini-concert for you and your family. Glad that the doctor says that she is flu-free. Love ya, Dawn emoticon

I hope Emma feels better soon. Maybe she can put on a mini concert for you, your Mom, and DH when she feels better. I know she will be disappointed. emoticon emoticon

I hope your daughter feels better soon, it really is hard to see a young child that sick. My doctor always does the motrin plus tylenol route the two together seems to bust through quicker. The team is lucky to have you too.
