Last week went off pretty fast with the family at home.. My brother and his wife visited us and my parents also came down so that we all had a get together.. Thursday was bit hectic and long but since they all left on Friday, we had some time to recharge.. I did set up the Christmas tree with ornaments in it and my dh bought in the lights for it.. So part of the decoration is done.. The wreath is waiting to be fixed in the door... We completed most of our Christmas shopping on Saturday except for a couple items which will be done this week..
This week is also going to be busy with my mom's surgery and my brother's family coming back before they leave the country.. So I guess I'll have to be prepared to balance work and the family.. Since it is my parents and brother, it is not so bad.. If my in-laws were visiting us, then it is a whole different story. I'd be stressed and sick by now.. ;) Yeah.. I think that is how that relationship works !
My cold is better but this cough doesn't seem to subside.. Above all I had a dosage of my cold syrup in the morning and I felt damn drowsy all day at work.. I was desperately looking for help to keep my eyes open.. I did have coffee today instead of my usual milk thinking it might help with the cough and the drowsiness.. I guess it helped atleast with the cough..
OK, now I am catching up on my work.. Need to check off few items in my list before Wednesday evening.. And I know I am going to be pretty busy with the surgery tomorrow.. So I better do things ahead of time and be prepared... I hope my mom's surgery goes well without any complications and she gets recovered soon.. She is bit nervous too and I am trying to put her at ease..
I am not sure how I'll be doing in the areas of food and exercise.. It is going to be eating outside most of the day tomorrow.. May be I'll get back to cooking at home on Wednesday if things go fine..
And I did make it through 20 days of 'No night time eating'.. That is a great achievement for me (touch-wood) and I guess it will become a habit soon and I will not think about snacking in the bed anymore.. Also I have began tracking my food and I see that I am over my calorie range most of the days.. On an average day, I am trying to bring my food intake into my calorie range.. I will have to do lots of homework there.. I need to be able to modify what I eat - reduce the carb intake and increase my protein.. Atleast I have started tracking my food now.. so I know what I am putting inside my mouth.. Need to strive towards a streak of staying within my calorie range next..
