Well, it's coming up to Race Day, and let me tell you, I'm shaking in my boots. In 8 weeks of training, I've still not managed to run 10K at a stretch, and now I have 10 days!
I'm loath to give up on this goal, so I'm going to push hardcore for the next little while and make really good health choices- tonight I was stressed out and pigged out on icecream and Christmas cookies and pasta, and boy am I feeling it! My poor stomach is bloated to the max and I feel sluggish, but at the same time hyped up from all the sugar in my system :(
Tomorrow's another day! I want to try for 7.5K tomorrow and do 10K by Sunday, at which point I'll have one week to Race Day to train that last bit more and make sure I take care of myself. Warmups and stretching have become the most important parts of my training!
Wish me luck, everybody, I'm really gonna need it :)
