Every year, my students and I do the December bulletin board at school - it's the only way I can ensure it's multi-cultural and not Christmas only.
So this year, we did a Keith Haring style Festivals of Lights - Chanukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. I couldn't figure out how to incorporate Eid Mubarakh, which I think is coming to a close about now (I'm fuzzier on the Muslim holiday calendar) - but I figure 3 major holidays in one board is pretty good.
Plus the students practiced their enlarging skills since they enlarged the initial drawing; practiced cutting; had to interpolate (expand the drawing to show what is behind the overlapping objects); and learned about several winter holidays.
