Computer issues and all that jazz!
Monday, November 30, 2009
The computer issues simply required a clear mind-which I didn't have all weekend. Saturday was spent in bed, very little to eat. Crackers sounded good and tasted good-for a short time. I found out water still tasted good so I sipped between naps. Sunday was marginally better but I stayed home from church and kept my meals light. Lunch today was still noodle soup but tonight I could eat baked chicken and rice. I turned the corner at last.
Our Thanksgiving Day was wonderful! Church services, then stopped for coffee. Pager went
off and I leave in dress and heels. An older lady fell in her basement and broke a hip. Her
husband and SIL were there to help carry her up and that made a big difference. When I
got home, I grabbed my salad, fixings for sweet potato casserole and other goodies. We
made it to Irene about 30 minutes late but there was more than enough food! Daughters had
already fed the little ones so we adults could have quality time just visiting. A lively game of
dominos lasted until 7:30. Then it was time to pack up for home.
Friday I babysat Josie and she and I baked cinnamon rolls. The little trooper was there from
beginning to end. There wasn't a step in the process where she wasn't helping. It was such
Saturday I did venture out to change the paraments at church and then was paged out for
a transfer from the Care Center. Good thing it was only an hour from start to finish. I was
the only EMT in town but I had a very good driver so it was an easy transfer.
So even with being under the weather, I did get some fresh air and sunshine! I wish you all
a super fantastic week! Remember, the only thing standing in your way to success is you!
Go for the goal and keep your eyes on the prize!
