Mushroom barley soup

This is one of my favorite soups, and it actually comes from my eastern European heritage. Mushrooms were on sale today at the fruit/veg store I like, so I bought five half-pound packs (and forgot one at the store) - so I'm going to make a big pot of mushroom barley soup with vegs. For dinner for several nights. Not that it's exceptionally cold, or anything.

I just love soup, and this is definitely one of my faves.

    I love mushrooms please can I have the recipie. Do you fry the mushrooms a bit before adding the stock?

    I love soup too and made a huge pot of turkey veggie soup yesterday. mushroom barley sounds soooooooooo yummy too!! enjoy :)
