This is one of my favorite soups, and it actually comes from my eastern European heritage. Mushrooms were on sale today at the fruit/veg store I like, so I bought five half-pound packs (and forgot one at the store) - so I'm going to make a big pot of mushroom barley soup with vegs. For dinner for several nights. Not that it's exceptionally cold, or anything.
I just love soup, and this is definitely one of my faves.
