Can't Believe My Eyes - It's Actually Raining! (After 4 year drought)

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Well, it's not pouring, but any rain is good. I looked outside and hardly recognized why it was wet on the ground. Can't even remember when it rained last. San Diego is in a very bad drought with water rationing, so I hope this is the start to a rainy season to refill our dried-up lakes and reservoirs.

Wishing all a wonderful day.

Jesse I lived through a 7 year drought in northern AZ. It was still in drought stage when I left but a few years ago I called a friend there and was surprised to hear it was RAINING regularly again! Good news! TC and Stay WET! Lol Laurie

What's up Jesse - Did you notice that with the wind chill factor some of the rain becomes hail intermittently? WOW! My poor little plumeria trees...dey misses too. Aha there are blues skies already. Must've caught a patch in the middle of the storm. BTW - check out the beach if possible. Huge waves from some storm system somewhere are pounding the beaches. I spent some time yesterday afternoon checking them out. Aloha ~ Maya (Viva Coastal Southern California - the Coastal Desert!)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I did get some killer bargains, although we don't go for the high ticket items as there is 1 for every 200 people wanting them. We got stuff like games, t-shirts, a robe for my honey, pillows, towels, etc. very boring stuff but stuff for 1/2 or more off and stuff that we needed.
Glad you are getting some rain, we could use less of it up here in the north part of the country. So I will be glad to share the wealth-they don't call this the evergreen state just for our trees (lol)
Hope you are doing better than you were yesterday.
All the best,

You must live in California. I'm up North (Sonoma County), and we're desperate for rain. I hope it keeps up for you.

I hope the drought is over for you. I live in Michigan and can't imagine a drought for that long. Enjoy the rain!!

It is amazing to see rain in San Diego. I've visited several times, and it never rained each time I was there.
