Friday morning, 5a.m., time to get up, get started, face the consequences of my yesterday.
Was I good? OMG, that really depends on how you define good. I was too good to me, lol. I really really enjoyed the skin on my fresh fried turkey! I enjoyed a serving of stuffing and some candied sweet potato casserole with marshmallows toasted on top.
I indulged in cheesecake, cheesecake (yes, I know I listed it twice, 2 pieces), pumpkin pie with cool whip, some danish that I couldn't begin to describe here and some very rich white bread made with heavy cream. Oops, forgot a "Martha Washington" made by the lady who's husband was frying my turkey!! (Not on my Nutrition Tracker!)
I tallied up my calories - of course I used the Nutrition Tracker! Would you think otherwise of me? I stayed within range, sort of, too much was guessing about portions. Not to mention the aforementioned forgotten "Martha Washington fudgie thingie."
I calculated my calories burned - yup, managed to get in a little walking time yesterday too.
I ended the day in the negative by eating at least 200 more calories than I burned.
I consumed more sodium and cholesterol than recommended. Was it worth it? You betcha!
Slow drum roll here please - I stepped up to the scale and got on, held my breath, and looked down - - - .1 less than yesterday! 121.1, still well within my maintenance range!
I keep telling you, maintenance is doable!! Fear is the enemy, not the food.
P.S. I apologize to all but I took the day off yesterday and didn't do any unnecessary emails, or much SparkPeople stuff. It was a mini-vacation for me.
P.P.S. I was MIA & AWOL for 2 days! But now I am playing catchup with my spark emails! And back on track too!!
P.P.P.S. It is now the Sunday after Thanksgiving and I have again broken 120! Bring on Christmas, I am ready!!
