alive and kicking one year on.

a year ago today was a very happy as well as traumatic time for our family.i got preclamcia in the pregnancy and both my son and me nearly lost our lives.after an emergancy c-section my son was taken to intensive.(i never even got to see him first)then the drīs started working on saving me.with lots of medication(so strong i wasnīt allowed to still)and lots of round the clock care.though to be honest i missed most of it as was too out of it to care.i will propably be writting another blog along theese lines on new year day when i nealy died through complications from my c-section and they had to operate again.anyway back to the has been along and stressful year but both me and my son has survied it though there has been many times over the year when ayman nearly didnīt survive.BUT HE DID:directly after ayman was born i weighed in at 303lbs.i am now down to 250lbs.i still have along way to go (90lbs)to get to my goal but i know how ever long it takes i will get there.i have three beautiful kids who are all survivers and fighters.(they have to be)and if they can work through all the difficulties their lives throw at them then i can work through mine. so here is to celerbrating next year at this time a similar blog but with a thinner mummy.

What a great perspective! It never occurred to me that my children's illnesses were there lives and dealing with it is mine. I never even thought about how hard living with all of this must be for them. Thanks friend. Perhaps I too can survive.

Happy Birthday, Ayman! I had a traumatic birth with my second (very, very severe meconium aspiration followed by 21 days in the NICU). He wasn't expected to survive, and was expected to have severe brain injury if he did...17 months later he is perfectly fine. Kids are so amazingly resilient. But, oh, what they put us through as parents!

And congrats on your weight loss! That's amazing, especially in light of the year you've had. Keep up the great work!
