In today's busy world, one can hardly find time to reflect upon the REAL meaning of this holiday season. From as early as Labor Day until after New Year's Day, holiday's are accompanied by incessant advertising abd unabashed commercialism. While this type of holiday may be beneficial to to the businesses who are pushing their goods, we need to remember some things that are frequently forgotten.
Football and turkey, fun with family, friends and neighbors, a house filled with excitemant, and jubilant children are certainly reasons we enjoy Thanksgiving. But this Thanksgiving I want to urge you to remember some things that are often overlooked whenwe are in the midst of a family celebration.......think of all the people who made you who you are. Remember your youth, for you will never regain it. Remember the simple things such as flying kutes and jumping in leaves, tire swings and climbing trees, riding your bike and long family drives......these are the things from which Thnaksgiving is made.
Most of all, let's remember those less fortunate than we and strive to make their Thanksgiving a time when they can reflect on their own good memories.
To ALL my Spark's friends, I am wishing you a safe and happy Thnaksgiving.
