Exercising More, Managing My Growing Appetite

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Just when I have gotten some aspects under control, here comes another challenge. (smiling) Exercising more makes me hungrier. It's that simple. And sticking to healthier foods is a smart choice, but I sometimes feel that all this hard work entitles me to eat whatever I want. I'm hungry and have to learn how to compensate for the hunger. Probably more protein.

I know I need to drink plenty of water during and after my workouts or I am starved!

Reach for the water bottle! Your body wants water and needs it!

You are doing great, I read how much weight you have lost since March and it is awesome. I hope I can reach my goal of losing 10 more pounds, but I wanted to do it by January, 10lbs in one month? I don't know if it is possible. Maybe. But I am hungrier after I exercise also, I am also trying to eat more fruit and veggies after I work out. It's better to eat healthy foods when you are really hungry. Maybe try to drink some extra water before and after working out. Have a wonderful turkey day!! emoticon

This blog is very helpful. I was begining to think something was wrong with me. I have pushed my exercise up to almost double. Yes my appetite has gotten bigger.

My husband started working out before me and he would say that working out made him hungrier. Of course, being the pessimist I didn't believe him, but when I finally decided to get off my utt and join him at the gym I saw the truth in what he was saying. Now I buy more fruits and incorporate a salad into my lunch and dinner to make sure I'm full.

You have to find that balance, if you are burning more calories then you should eat more, but not so much as you gain weight...
funny thing when I exercise it takes my hunger away.....
    have a healthy day
