Jumped off the wagon

Saturday, November 21, 2009

I don't know what has happened the past few days. I haven't exercised or eating the right way. I took a long detour and now I am paying for it. It is 4:44 am and I have been awake since 2:17 am. My knees are inflamed and I know it is because I started eating chocolate again along with the fried foods and sodas.

Today is another day so wish me well.

Guess what--many of us have been where you are. You haven't done anything awful, just very human. You had a set back...today is a new beginning and you have the opportunity to turn things for the better. So enjoy this day, love yourself by doing the best you can for yourself today.

By the way, you do NOT have to be perfect--just keep doing the best you can today. You can start your day over anytime you choose to by changing your actions and thinking.

I honestly know the pain and today it took me two hours to get out of bed. My prayers are with you and I sincerely know you can do what you need to do. Remember, there is someone in WNY who has a lot of confidence in you.

Enjoy this day and be loving to YOU.

I would encourage you not to think of yourself as "on the wagon" or "off the wagon" and definitely not "under the wagon"!! Just keep on keeping on the path and if you drift to the side just wind yourself back.

We all have those moments of drifting, but deciding to wind your way back - even if it's over and over again - is what will eventually make the difference. That's what I tell myself. My tag line has become "Two steps forward and one step back still equals one step forward." It may come slow, but keep at it and we'll get there!

Get those knees working and get back on the wagon for goodness sakes. I can sympathize with knee problems, although mine arn't caused by chocolate. But if I eat right and exercise every day, my knee pain is almost nill.

Good luck. You can do it.
