Mile 1.5 of my 5K... I look like I'm walking! I certainly don't feel like it though. My husband and friends insist that I am jogging very slowly, but I think they are just trying to be nice.
But even if I am not running, I know I am burning more calories than I do when I walk because there is a difference in my HRM. Regardless, I just need to get over my insecurities with running & speed and just be proud of my accomplishments. You don't become a runner over night and that is something I need to accept. I am leaps and bounds away from where I was when I started C25K.
Now it's time to figure out how to stop being so hard on myself and start having fun on my runs!
