From the Grandmother's Bible:
Focus: Courage
Prayer: "O Father, builder of character and courage, may my (grand)children grow strong in the light of your love. Grant them courage to stand for what is right, to guard the truth and to ensure justice in every aspect of life. May they boldly grow in grace, revere Your name and proudly proclaim You as Lord of lords and King of kings. In Jesus, amen."

In these troubled, almost frightening days, we need to pray to remember these things -
Romans 8: 31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
33Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies;
34who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
35Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36Just as it is written,
"FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG;
WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED."
37But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

11/22-28/09
This area may seem strange and illusive, but this is the area I sense we need to be in for this coming week. It is found in Acts where David is quoted to have said the following:
“I saw the Lord always in my presence; for He is at my right hand, so that I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue exulted; moreover my flesh also will live in hope; because You will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor allow Your holy one to undergo decay. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.” Acts 2:25-28
Pray for and seek to be alert to the presence of God this week. Come here and share experiences of Him this week as time permits.

I love the prayer from the Grandmother's Bible.
