So, my first 5K is in just eight days including today. That means that there is a ton of things left to do like steal safety pins from my step father’s dry cleaning for my race number and figure out how in the world I’ll be juggling horses, kickboxing, run training, and regular life. At least I don’t have to fit stretching in. I just make it a point to do fifteen plus minutes of Wii Fit yoga every day.
- Today (8) is kickboxing and taking care of the horses.
- Friday (7) is a Wii Fit workout day, a brisk 5 mile walk on the treadmill plus taking care of the horses.
- Saturday (6) is a Wii Fit and “take care of the horses” day.
- Sunday (5) is my last 5K training run before the big event.
- Monday (4) is Wii Fit and a trip to Roadrunner for new shoes.
- Tuesday (3) is Kickboxing night with my favorite USMC instructor!
- Wednesday (2) take it easy and pack for the big day.
- Thursday (D-Day) is race day and my first San Diego Spark Team get together.
It’s all laid out now, so I can have some focus in the next few day. There’s no excuse for me to not work out or not know what I need to do. All I have to do is stick to the plan!
In other news, I have decided to begin updating my old blog again. It’s been dormant since September 23rd, but I really want to begin documenting all of what’s going on in my life. My SP blog I like to keep updated with my fitness and weight loss achievements, not my everyday life, so my SP posts will always be updated on my other blog, but not all of my other blog’s posts will be updated to SP. (I hope that makes sense!)
I have a product review to do soon, though, that iPod fans will want to read, so keep an eye out for it. Hope everyone is doing well and shedding those pounds. I’ll update again, soon.
