Did 45 minutes last night. Wasn't in the mood to workout but I kept my challenge in prospective and did it anyway. I've banned myself from the scale as well. I was discouraged in a sense, because it wasn't really moving. But God has a way of letting you know don't quit! I wasn't planning too but you know when you hit a plateau you begin to think your hard work is in vain. So after reading an article on beachbody.com about the scale it opened my eyes. I also read some post about the same thing I was experiencing since starting Turbo Jam and working out longer and daily. One thing it stated is that when you begin a new program no matter what program your body will either maintain or gain within the first two weeks, while it adjusts. However your gain should not go above 4-5 pounds. If it's above 5 then you're probably not eating within your calories. I was pretty much staying on the low end of my calories every day and the majority of the time I was below 1400. I should be eating 1800 while doing Turbo Jam workouts!!! or high intensity cardio/strength training. Now I'm wondering if, the probelm is that I'm not eating enough for the workout that I do everyday... mmmmm So I'm going to try and eat on the high end of my calories every day and see what happens. I know I'm not eating 1800 calories. I'll try for 1400-1500 a day, especially on the days I do more than an hour.
But even if the scales not moving something must be happening. A co-worker came up to me this morning in the cafeteria and said I see you're melting away again! You look good. Pumped yes, then I thought about the "melting away again" portion of the compliment. Yeah I've been here before and I said and thank you and this time I'm going to keep melting. That's the 2nd compliment I got this week. My daughters response when I shared the compliment with her... and mom "you weren't wearing black this time"!!! LOL I'm wearing black and white today but the dress is huge on me clinging no where at all, falling off one shoulder but if it weren't for my big arms I wouldn't be able to keep it on, but it's mostly white. So it must be showing in my face/neck or the fact that she saw me yesterday tool. Oh well... I'm melting
Today my focus will be to:
Drink 40 ounces of water before I leave work today. 3 down 2 to go
Up my calories to 1400 before the day is out
Workout - walk for 30 minutes and dvd for 45-60 minutes.
Time to test some things out and see what works for this body of mine. Slowing me down from reaching my November goal! Get behind me
