zumba class

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

So I have this friend who I affectionately call the "exercise nazi" - she used to teach the toning and ST classes I took. She is relentless - but she is a bombshell - she is mid-60's and more fit than most women half her age.

Anyway, we have a Y opening in our town and she is their instructor for Zumba - she convinced another friend and I to try it - so we went tonight.

First of all, I am not coordinated at all - and it really showed in this class tonight. We thought we would laugh our way through the class - no time for laughing - I was just trying to keep from crying. It was brutal. My hat is off to those of you that do this on a regular basis - I don't know if I could do it.

This was probably a one and only thing for me because I don't intend to join the Y - but at least now I know what it is all about and actually even survived (well, at least for now - tomorrow morning I may think otherwise!)

Funny! I wrote a blog on my zumba experience today.

It is great to try something out of your comfort zone. It keeps your body guessing :)

So glad you tried something new. And bombshells can be inspiring too.
