On Sunday Missy blogged about her low cal way to start the day:

Her breakfast sounded delicous and also introduced a new way to cook a fried egg in a healthier way. I pledged to try her breakfast this week and I just did. It is delicous! THANK YOU MISSY!

MISSY_MAGOO's Lo-Cal Breakfast

Toast 1 slice of Sarah Lee 45 calories and delightful 100% whole grain bread and crack one egg into a bowl, pop the yoke, and microwave for 1 minute

Once those are done put the egg and 2 thin cut slices of lean ham (1 oz. or 30 grams) on the toast.

The info on this little breakfast-
calories- 180
carbs- 17
fat- 6
protein- 19
fiber- 7

I NEVER KNEW YOU COULD COOK AN EGG THIS WAY. I MEAN I'VE DONE SCRAMBLED IN THE MICROWAVE, BUT FRIED... WHO KNEW? I MISSED THE RUNNY YOLK, BUT JUST SAVED THAT NUMMY YELLOW PART FOR MY LAST FEW BITES. HOW DID I EAT THIS YOU ASK? WITH A FORK! IT WAS AS PLEASURABLE AS A FRIED EGG SANDWICH WITHOUT THE CHEESE AND WHO NEEDS THAT SECOND SLICE OF CALORIE FILLED BREAD. THE ONLY THING I AM LEFT WONDERING IS... WHY DIDN'T I TAKE A PICTURE? OH WELL, THERE IS ALWAYS TOMORROW!

Sounds really good! And much more diet friendly than the grilled sausage and fried egg on 2 pc. buttered toast my hubby likes for me to make for him!

I'm so glad you tried and liked it!
Okay- if you want the yoke runny nuke for 1 minute on 50% power instead of full power- the white will cook completely, but the yoke should have some runny soft spots- or at least it does with my microwave :)

Oh- and if you're using the same info I have on my page that's with a medium egg and the Special K2O for a drink :)

Hungry Girl had a lot of bowl egg recipes on her site last month. You can add ingredients and eat right out of the bowl...yummy!
