well here it is day 4 on the thyroid program and I'm feeling great. my hands are warmer but today felt a bit chilly - however, not as cold as usual by any means. so improvement. I have energy and will head to the gym right after work to run my 3 miles and do some weights. I'm tracking all I eat and everything I do to get an accurate picture of any changes. so far I seem to have good energy and am less hungry for snacking. I really noticed this during the weekend when I tend to fall prey to all the snacks - both healthy and unhealthy that may be around me when hunger strikes. and this weekend - It didn't strike. I mean I was hungry for lunch, but not before hand and I was hungry for healthy choices and not craving any junk. today as well - had oatmeal for breakfast and a yogurt for my am snack - lunch I almost couldn't finish but I made myself eat my lunch of a tiny bit of pasta (whole wheat) lots of mixed veggies, some tomato sauce and a small amount of chicken with water. it was a greatly planned meal and I know it contained what I needed so I did eat it. usually I have my lunch and then still crave something sweet and today it didn't happen. so that is good I think. I'm excited for the week to happen and to see if things do improve any more. I really thought it would have taken longer to see any changes - as with most medications usually 2 weeks for it to even remotely begin to effect your system so for this to make some differences in just a few days - I am impressed. or I was so deficient that any boost would have made a difference for me. only time will tell, I see the dr again this week for my first check in since starting the program on friday. again, so far so good for me.
