So Many Things I Don't Know About Spark People.

Friday, November 13, 2009

I just saw a news article that said this website is like MySpace, and they showed someone with a front page, well, I didn't know we had that. Nor did I know this site was connected to a book, I found that at the library the other day, didn't check it out though. I also didn't find this website becasue I was looking weight loss info. I was using meebo.com to chat and saw a connection called Spark People, thinking it was the now defunct TheSpark.com, the same people that make Spark Notes. So far all I really do here is track my food eaten, and my weight and body measurements. It is also nice to make journal posts here because I don't really want to talk about my weight in my Live Journal. I have made one friend here though. I also like the Facebook style status update. I want to look up some other exercises here, as all I do currently are 100 crunches a day, and some days I feel burnt out on them.

I guess I should go make a main page. (;

    Sherry, actually, my boyfriend challenged me to do thirty sit ups and I said, "Man there's no way I can do sit ups, here let me show you how quick I'll get winded." Amazingly, I was able to do them with just a couple of breaks. I was so excited.

And about getting burnt out, yes! I'm watching some of the example videos here and there to see what I'd enjoy doing. I'm focused on crunches because that seems to be the muscle group that is the weakest for me.

    I think 100 crunches is a-lot. I walk 2 of my dogs totally 1/2 mile a day. I can walk but getting down and doing crunches... I just can't, yet. i am not limber enough. Keep it up.

    If you continue with the same exercise over and over again you are gonna get burnt out. The things I like about this website is they give you some fun and new exercises to try and also let *reality* hit in a way that you track what your eating and it makes you conscious of how much your really putting into yourself.

I like the people here, I'm new like you but already I feel like they are really supportive and we can give support as well through the blogs and message posts. You can also enlighten yourself with the medical information on different topics......some stuff that you thaught you knew turns out you were wrong.

Good luck on your journey and hope to see you soon :)
