Since my work was closed today in celebration of Veterans Day, I decided to use it to accomplish things that I've been putting off for a while, and to really take time for myself and get a good workout in, instead of just having a "lazy" day. I got up and went to my 6am spin class, which was a nice change from my regular workouts. Since my bf was off today too we decided to go to a morning Bikram yoga class, I've never gone to one before but have been wanting to try it for a while. It's a little hard to adjust to the heat in the beginning, but wow....after the class was over not only did i feel cleansed, but energized as well! I think the two of us might start making that more of a habit. Then we went home and spent the afternoon making homemade pesto (even shelled the pine nuts) and took a nap. It was a much needed day off that really refueled mind and body!
