I've realized I LOVE food. I mean well prepared food. I love the sauces and the flavors and the adventure of it all. We eat in 4-5 star restaurants while we are here and I really LOVE it. WAY too many calories... it would be better for my body if I could manage it better but I WANT to eat this and am willing to pay the price. Maybe I just need to realize that and get on with it?

I think that you live a very healthy lifestyle - so when you travel and have the opportunity to eat at 4-5 star restaurants...enjoy it. Not much help am I?

Here they eat out well, but eat light at home... but obesity *is* creeeping into society here too. Still, you rarely see anyone more than a little chunky.

You have to do what makes YOU happy and your definition of health. If you want to work on things...then that's what you have spark friends for and you are an awesome person yourself!

It's the mediocre food that got me in trouble .. too much junk!

The good stuff ... well that's worth a splurge! Enjoy!

Ohhhhh sounds fabulous. Enjoy it while you are there and be sure and post a few pictures in your blog. We will all take a virtual trip with you! Hugs, Rhonda

I hear ya! I've begun to realize this too. I love well prepared, GOOD food. I really enjoy tasting different flavors. I have been one unsatisfied eater for awhile now. Cheap restaurant food, even food prepared at home, "light" desserts, none of it satisfies me! I want some high quality, fresh ingredients, well prepared food!

Maybe I need to be eating in 5 star restaurants, though.

How do those people do it in those countries where they eat rich foods but don't have the obesity problems Americans have?
