Every dang thing I have done today seems to be a do-over or a precursor to a do-over. I did have Zack drive us almost to the mall to pick out Coda's new glasses. (The third optical place to visit, forth to try) We stayed in bed late and didn't get started til 11 am so we figured brunch at Schmaltz Sandwich Shoppe would be cool since we haven't been in forever...the Blue Plate Special is now over $7 and was $5.50 last time I went. So Coda said that if we were really as close to the mall as I said we were, I should drive. Shoulda let Zack continue since we were going the back way but that was ok. Went in at Sears and priced paint cuz I wanted to order a bucket of stain resistant, moisture resistant cover up for the awfully stained kitchen cabinets and peeling bathroom. If I order it online for pick up when Ron gets the shed, I will get 4 points for each dollar spent but the website isn't figuring the discount. Even tho it says regularly $27, now $22, when you check out it's still $27. Contacted them and they said too bad.
But that part was after I got home. I really wanna whine about not getting accomplished what I set out to do but actually, I probably did make a profit sorta on the trip. Sears had a sale...got two 1 gig memory cards, reduced price almost $16 but I got them for $1.97. A Wii alternate power supply, same deal, and two X box 360 web cam thingies marked $31.97 for $1.97 each. So it was basically an ebay seller shopping trip. This is the first memory card I have found that fits my laptop but Zack had to take it away from me to see if it fit his laptop and got it lost inside somehow. My first pc had a 2 gig hard drive so this was sorta like buying that harddrive for $4. We walked all over the mall looking for Lenscrafters and finally found out it was right by where we came out at Sears but it was at the end of the food court so we hadn't looked far enuf. There was a fantastic kiosk of religious shirts that were really cute like writing that looks like a Reese's logo and such. We only go to the mall once a year if that often.
We finally found the store! I explained several times that we knew there was a limit to the price range on the frames for our insurance but the lady said no and went straight to putting everything into her pc. Coda picked out frames almost exactly like the ones that I wear for night driving and she marked the center with a marker and then said with my insurance it would be $220 or with their 12 and under half price deal it would be $189. Have you lost your ever loving??? I got mine for $20 last year and I think that is cuz I paid for extra scratch resistance. Ron just got his the day before Coda and his were free...cuz they had a very minimal assortment to choose from. We went to the place Ron got his, another 10 miles or so away, and they aren't open on weekends. We went to the place I got mine and they closed at 2 because the dr. wasn't there. We got there at 2:31. Now I will have to get him out of school early on Tuesday to get them. Third trip. It will take a forth trip to pick them up after they are ready.
Came home agitated over it, which is my way. Decided to get the grocery shopping out of the way before Ron has a cow over not having any milk. About once a month I print out coupons from my points and hit up HEB, otherwise shop at Walmart. Ron got a gift card from work so HEB. Don't know exactly when I went but it had to be no later than 4 since we headed home at 230. Didn't get out til 6! TWENTY FIVE MINUTES WAITING IN THE CHECKOUT LINE!!! And as always, just before they started checking out the people in front of me, they opened a new checkout and told the people that JUST CAME UP BEHIND ME who were standing in line TWO ENTIRE MINUTES that they could check them out there. That's when I decided it wasn't gonna get any different so I should probably get a laugh out of it. I hate being taught patience. At least I saved $29.21 in coupons...
Zack called as soon as I got in the car asking if I had bought ice cream. After I brought the groceries in, Ron asked where was his ice cream. He had made me buy a lottery ticket (with his money, at least) so I went for my purse to get it for him and somehow, sat the purse down and lost it. Called my cell phone and couldn't find it cuz I had left the cell in the car. Searched some more and finally got it in the end. Speaking of...I found the rotary tool last night when I was going thru a few of my boxes to label contents and decide which stay in the garage and which go in the new storage building. I should be getting the rotary tool I paid twice as much for last week probably Tuesday or Wednesday. Guess I will just put it right back on ebay, unopened.
For a better day tomorrow.
