And time to say: Woo Hoo!
With that all out of the way, I wanted to share that I have cut down my Zoloft dosage from 100 mg to 50 mg ...
Even that small change had me go through symptoms for 5 days that left me trying to clear my ears all the time (as if I was suffering from a change in pressure or altitude - you know know like when a plane starts its descent to land? Hope ya'll get the idea :S) ... in any case, I'm still feeling ok and all.
I'm still taking Lazropram as my PDoc said it isn't good to change two meds at a time, if you can avoid it.
We'll see how it goes.
I don't know if I can be med free, but I will try to be just to see if I really need them or not.
Anybody have some good hints, experience or what not for this process and moving towards a medfree reality????

Again, I'm a little late to the ballgame, but...

When my doc started giving me meds to protect my kidneys and liver from the other meds, I went cold turkey off everything. No more diabetes, heart, depression, anxiety meds...nothing! I didn't suffer any ill effects. I never really did improve too much on the depression ones, so that would be my only concern for you trying it. If they work, and you aren't suffering awful side effects, take your time coming off and monitor yourself for changes. I've found the best things for my own depression have been my pets, exercise, getting enough sleep (this is a biggie), eating better (I'm not really eating "right" yet), and talking things out with my therapists and my friends here. Hypnotherapy works well if you find someone you really trust.

You must write on your blog more regularly...there are many nosy people out here who want to keep up with how you're doing. :-)

Cheers!
Lori

Good luck with your journey. I think taking it slow to go off the meds will be best. I think most of us know when we are getting back to the low points. It sounds like things are going good for your life and now would be the time to try it. I wish you only the best.
