I've Been Sick!:(

Saturday, November 07, 2009

Hi!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I've been sick. It started out with flu-like symptoms, and I was in bed for a while, now I've had this stupid cough for almost three weeks (yes, I went to the doctor last week! It's bronchitis and I'm currently on antibiotics). Now I have this horrible rib pain on my right side. It started just before I went to the doctor. She said it was from coughing... but my coughing has since subsided mostly, and the rib pain is still there. I'm taking 2 Naproxen every day (afraid to take more, but believe me, I would if I could!)

So... I'm kinda not exercising as much as usual, and that's making me scared that I've gained a TON of weight. People here assure me that I haven't, but still... I do see my dietitian on Tuesday.

Oh yes, my niece Sophia just turned 2 years old on the 5th! We're having a birthday party for her tomorrow. Should be fun :) It's kind of a mix-and-match party. Halloween dress up as well as a pizza themed party! Woohoo! My little niece LOVES her pizza! My twin, her mommy, made two awesome pizza cakes for the occasion. The kids will be dressed up in their Halloween costumes and I figured that I will dress up as well. Really I'm just going to wear all black (it's what I wore on Halloween for trick-or-treating with my nieces and nephew). I'll be the only adult dressed up, but I just love Halloween! Oh yes, I have a pic of myself and my niece Sophia trick-or-treating (oh.. and I'm really not that pale, I have white face make-up on in the photo! :) ) I'll leave you with that!

I hope it's not too large...:)

    Pale,
Ask your dr for a chest Xray. About 10 years ago I inhaled a small piece of popcorn and coughed so violently that I broke two ribs. My Dr. kept prescribing muscle relaxants and antibiotics (I also had bronchitus at the time) and the pain just never subsided. I couldnt even lift my 6 lb cat.

There really isnt anything they can do for a rib fracture; but they can at least provide pain medication if the pain gets severe and you will know not to lift ANYTHING!!!!!

Take care,

Candace

Don't worry about the weight gain. On Friday I took out my wisdom teeth (all 4 of them) and i'm still recovering. I haven't exercise since 2 days now, and I'm scared of weight gain too. But trust me, when you are sick, the better you take care of yourself, the faster you will recover and get back with the workout! Good luck and take care.

Hi! Hope you feel better. Make sure to rest and take care of yourself. Don't worry too much about the weight gain. I go through that myself when I get sick, I always worry about gaining weight for lack of exercise. But the more you rest and take care of yourself the quicker you get better and get back on track!

Thanks for posting the picture. You look fabulous!!!!!!!!

Michele
