I mean what do people think about it? i think the hardest challnge for me is seperating my problems from what i want from life, and pushing through no matter what! I think thats the real acheivement at the end of the day~!

Ah, Girlfriend, It takes time. Trust me I should know, in June of 08 I was 225lbs, I am only 5'1" Now I am 145 it took me 17 months. I made it a life style change. At 61 it was hard but I am doing it. It can be done. The question is how bad and how much do you want it and what are you willing to do to get it? I would out 6 days a week, 3 at the gym and 3 at home. I let nothing and no one stand in my way. So I know it can be done. In 17 month I have lost 80 pounds. You can do it too. You made a good step hooking up with us here at Sparks. We will give you all the support and encouragement you can handle the rest is up to you

    Peace and Blessings

P S feel free to stop by my page at anytime. I will be so happy to here from you. Add me as a friend if you would like. I would love to keep up with your progress.

Hi, Remember this is not a race and it is not a destination. This is a journey and we take it one step at a time. WE CAN DO THIS!

Hang in there, it does seem like it takes forever, but remember those days are going to pass no matter what you do. How much better will you feel if you stuck with it and reach your goal?!? Like EOLIVIAC said, make small goals, 5 lbs for now, then 5 more. It does help to break it down and then when you reach say 10 or 20 lbs reward yourself with a manicure or something like that. You can do this!!!

Keep on Keep'n on. I too expect instant gratification, but I realize it doesn't happen that way.

Although it seems as if the weight jumped onto our bodies overnight, it really didn't. So, with that in mind we should not expect the weight to "jump off" or melt off within a few days, weeks, or months. Some of us have developed such bad habits that it will take us a while to get back in line with eating right and exercising more. Think about losing weight in small increments. Right now I'm part of a challenge called "Lose 5 Pounds in November...Really". That's an average of 1.5 pounds a week. If you want to join, you can find it under the Community Message Board. Click on Challenges and scroll down until you find it. You'll get lots of support and encouragement. Good luck!!
