Feeling a bit better

Friday, November 06, 2009

Today is day 17 in the saga of my back. My MRI revealed that I have 4 herniated discs and all my discs are dehydrating. But this is neither here nor there.

17 days ago I could barely stand, today I actually felt much better. Good enough to walk slowly through our local Hallmark store and do a bit of shopping for Christmas. It felt like physical therapy walking through the store. I took my grand time and it was nice just to be around other people.

I stiffen up every time I stop moving for long, but I'm getting there. Slow and steady will win my race.

Thanks to all my wonderful Spark friends for all your support and well wishes. You are all amazing.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm gald that you were able to get out for a little bit of a walk. Hope you will continue to improve. Is there anything that can be done about the discs?

Sometimes getting out is the best form of therapy. I'm glad you were able to get out and get some Christmas shopping done. I am a bit jealous as I have not even started yet. I'm going to work on my granola gifts this weekend.

Lynn, Glad you are feeling some relief. Be like the turtle...slow & steady. If you try to do too much too quickly you will suffer a serious setback. Take care of yourself, your little darlings need you.
