I have lost 82.4% of what I set out to do and am on my way to a skinnier, healthier me! I have lost 82.4lbs! I am now below 170lbs. This is the first time since I graduated from high school that I have weighed in the 160s (truthfully I think it was grade 11 when I was last here....). And to top it off I am much more fit than I was then.
In high school, I was active, but not necessarily fit. I didn't like sports, I didn't like running, I definitely didn't like gym! I did walk to school, ride my bike (as a form of transportation, including some 50+km rides) and go on hikes. Everything in gym class was competitive, and so I didn't like it. Even running, I was always the last one in, so what fun was that? The only unit in high school gym class (required until grade 10) that I liked was weightlifting and cycling.
Now I run by myself and my competition is me! I can compete against me... I can go a little faster today than I did just a few months ago.
Nutrition - this past week I have been eating at the lower end of my calorie range because I haven't been as active.
Exercise - I haven't gotten in as much as I have in the past, but I am still exercising every day. I have done some strength training, but once again, not as much as I'd like, so will increase this as I feel a little better.
Running - I didn't get any runs in, just a couple of short walks... But that is ok, I will start back next week. Hopefully my lungs will let me and my asthma calms down. I must remember to run with my inhaler now...
Sleep - I have been getting 7-8 hours most nights, although the time change has played havoc with the kids sleep schedules. They still haven't adjusted to the new time....
