OH the pain

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

Well I hurt more tonight than when I hurt my back. I went to physio and it took 2 hrs for them to show me and do all my routine!!!!! sorry but i havent been doing wts in years faithfully and they want me to do 10 reps 3x of 3 diff exercises, ball ex. leg ones, core, etc. ect then do the return to work stuff, ie push a chair etc. well i tried my dammdest and can barely move. Dh is angry cos said they are on a mission to make yuou get back to work asap. so dont let them do that much to you. woman you dont work out and you are nearly 53. Had you been working out more than slowly walking a dog yea but not at my intensity. my back is so sore, my neck aches, my shoulders. etc.
granted someone said oh you are having a reaction to the H1N1 cos some woman became crooked walking from it. well whatevr it is better get better. I kneow i would be sore for physio but man not this bad.
so it is just 8:30 taking tylenol ( hope it is okay with h1n1) and going to bed.
arghhhh

Oh dear Cinders, I would have though physiotherapists would know what they were doing.
Sounds like they were expecting a little too much, or were they just repeating the routine for you to get a sound idea of what needed I wonder.
Either way I'd be inclined to have words and tell them how sore you are today and that they pushed you too hard. Maybe they can tone it down and then increase as you get better and stronger.
Feel for you hun, hope the soreness goes and that eventually it does you some good, you so need to get that back of yours better
Luv ya

Hope your soreness is greatly improved very soon. Sounds as if they are giving you a lot of exercises all at once instead of building up your program gradually. Good luck with getting good results.

Hugs, Gaylinn

It could be a reaction to the shot (some people I've heard react to it) but I would mention it to your physiotherapist that you are so sore. Ask them if they think it is a reaction to the shot or to the intensity of the therapy. Hope you feel better tomorrow :)
