Day 2: Fell off the wagon . . .

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

But promptly got back on. And this post counts as day 2 because of how its in the morning. And I didnt think to post one last night.

I gave blood yesterday morning. I ate my normal oatmeal breakfast and was good. And then a coworker emails me while I am donating asking if I wanted to go to McDs for breakfast. I had a free breakfast sandwich coupon, so I took her up on it. And then we went to Raising Cane's for lunch. Not the best day for caloric intake. But I went home and ate a sensible dinner of turkey meatloaf and canned corn. So it wasn't completely a wash. And this morning, I got up and went for a brisk walk with the hubby before going to work, and I will probably do strength training this evening and a run tomorrow morning.

I'll get this. I promise. It will just take a little bit to get into the good habits. But it doesn't help that I am going on a coaching lunch today, followed by a going away cookie cake for a co-worker. I'll just work extra hard at exercising this evening and tomorrow. Right?

Right.

It takes small steps at first. You are not going to be able to eat all healthy all day long right now, but you can make healthier choices. Like the last person said, maybe instead of eating a huge piece of cookie cake, eat a small 2 bite piece or don't eat any at all. It will probably make you feel empowered to turn it down. You sound like you are headed in the right direction. I believe you can do it. Try and find healthy opportunities in every day and before you know it, your day will be filled with them. Good luck!

It's sounds like you are back on the right track. Remember that you can participate in a cookie party and TASTE not EAT. Keep your motivation up.

I have this quote everywhere so I see it constantly.

It says: "Would you rather EAT what you want or WEAR what you want"?

MY answer, I would rather wear what I want. How about you?
Good Luck
