Is the FDA nuts?? Just heard on the news that PBA has beeen found in various canned goods(ie - Progresso vegetable soup, DelMonte green beans , vital choice tuna fish - for example). PBA has been linked to reproductive issues, cancer and other health risks....."but consumers should not be concerned". The quoted portion is from the FDA....so I ask , is the FDA freakin' nuts?????
Why would anyone in their right mind want to continue to eat foods knowing that the very food that they are using to get healthy can have to opposite affect??? I have tried to eat fresh or frozen foods - with the exception being soup and tuna fish!!!! Can you say , "Denise glows in the dark"?????
I am feeling concerned for people who due to economic means do not have access to fresh fruits and veggies- those without large grocery(ie Shop Rite, A&P, Acme) stores in their neighborhood or those who are choosing canned goods because their budgets just won't allow them to buy fresh.
I guess I have a heck of a lot to be thankful for

It is sad to see how quick and easy foods often turn into quick and deadly ones. There is no wonder that poverty and ill health often go hand in hand. Even the food drives focus on canned foods. Thanks for info. I'll be eating fewer can goods from now on. At least until they come clean about the frozen vegetables emoticon
