(Thanks to my dear friend Mackenzie (MRAKES) for sharing this idea) I figured since I get asked a lot what my diet is like I'd share (with pictures)
Here's a typical healthy eating day for me - of coarse it varies but you get the jist.
8:00M: First thing when I get to work I have some herbal tea with lemon and my water (notice my 24 hour fitness class schedule in the background?)
8:30AM breakfast: Frosted Shredded Mini Wheats (1 cup - did you know this cereal has NO sodium? AND its TASTY!), 5 medium strawberries, and a 1/2 cup skim milk.
Some days I will have a mid morning snack depending on my hunger - this day I did not.
12:00 Lunch: Turkey sandwich (I always buy low sodium turkey from the deli) on white wheat with lettuce tomato and honey mustard plus a little balsamic vinegerette, and a banana. Still drinking water (my goal is to drink 1 of those jugs - 96oz- every day)
2:00 mid afternoon snack: Granny Smith Apple & 1 TBSP NATURAL Peanut Butter (it has less sodium and preservatives)
4:00 afternoon snack: 2 celery stalks & 1 TBSP natural peanut butter
5:30-7:30 at the gym - This day I did a 60 minute spin class and a 60 minute lift class
8:00 Dinner: I don't always eat this late. I usually eat around 6:30-7:00 but it all depends on my gym class schedule. This night I had an extra lean Jennie-O turkey burger on a orrowheat sandwich thin (awesome invention just like a bun but with out the calories - 1 is only 100 cals) with lettuce, tomato, NO SALT Heinz ketchup, and honey mustard, with 1 serving of oven baked sweet potato fries.
TOTAL DAY'S CALORIES: 1366
and a big

for me, I walked by my kids candy buckets at least a dozen times last night and never stuck my hand in, NOT ONCE!!! Not even when I handed it to my husband.
Happy Tuesday everyone!!!
