Go spark yourself,,

Tuesday, November 03, 2009

I have been gettng frustrated lately, not with myself with comments from others, the ones that call you a perfectionist-this is your new religion- etc etc,, and in my little skinny brain I think" Go spark yourself" which means worry about you not me. SO my new motto is GO SPARK yourself and leave me a lone- why do I want to give my daughter a healthy lifestyle? I am the mean mom who doesnt give her soda, or candy or junk food- " But once in a while is okay?" if everyone gives her or me a once in a while-it becomes all the time- so GO SPARK Yourself and leave me alone--- URRGGG, yes tone in voice is frustrated- I guess Hallloween brought out my evil witch side with all that candy she doesnt need at 2 1/2 so in my mind its go Spark yourself--

I'm a mean mom, too, but after 2+ years of Sparking myself and 1+ years of enforcing healthy eating rules for the whole family, I can honestly say my kids -- 13, 15 and 15 -- prefer my healthy, homemade treats to Halloween candy.

You are doing the right thing. We start shaping are kids likes and dislikes at a young age and their eating habits. You want her to be healthy and who can blame you? I like that...I agree that they should definitely go spark themselves. LOL!! You rock!!

People are always going to have their comments, don't let them get to you. You are a fantastic mom, you do not let anyone else tell you what is best for your child!! Go tell them to spark themselves!!
