Review well my opinion 0 Biggest Loser WII game

Monday, November 02, 2009

This has taken some time as I wanted to get better knowledge of how the game works ...still not there -going ahead with what I think of it so far.

First I love that you can choose either Bob or Jillian to train with.. but you have to choose a previous loser and they only have 6 to choose from and of course all want to be Ally!!lol...
When you start up, your weight gets recorded then you choose what you would like to do- tone up, lose lots of weight or lose a little weight...and how long you want to take to do this. You put in your height and of course your gender for the game to calculate. Then it tells you how many calories you need to eat per day.

Some of the exercises you do are used with the WII board and controller and some are just with the controller..this is all good. You do not need the WII board to play the game - but I prefer to use it.

There are tips on the screen from past contestants as well as Bobs' and Jillian' tips.. there is also a part for your diet too. Your calories in can be recorded for each day and your calories burned are recorded..
The game is run like a BL show and once a week there is a weigh in..

Bob likes his yoga so lots of yoga to do... now this is another thing not so sure of as I am not that great with yoga but am getting better. The game/Bob does not tell you when he is going to do another pose and if you are doing like the downward dog you are not looking at the screen and do not see when he changes to a new position.
After each exercise you see how many calories you burn per session this is a cool feature.
Another cool thing is if you are not doing the exercise properly you get told and if you are doing it right - perfect comes up

Now about me personally I was shocked when it wouldn't let me put my weight in I want to be... yet it tells me I can only eat 900 calories a day.. think something is not quiet right there -- still trying to figure this one out.

There is a lot more to this game so as time goes by I will update this review.
Over all I love it- so much better then the WII game with just Jillian. Mostly the exercises are ones that are already on the BL exercise DVD's that are out now.. Here on this game you have Bob or Jillian yelling at you and your avatar is beside them working out.. (wish it could be our own made up avatar though instead of a previous BL contestant).

I like it for something different to do and let me tell you I do not sweat but sure did with this workout!

Something might be wrong with the way you entered the info. It told me I needed to eat 2520 calories a day to each my goal of losing 13 lbs on the 4 week program.
I hear you on the change positions thing... It doesn't tell you to put your leg up. Sort of frustrating.
I was sort of upset because I am pretty sure the game just tole me I burned 68 calories in 28 minutes and I am thinking I could burn more than that sitting on the couch.
I think I might try Jillian out because I don't care for Yoga. The yoga on the Wii Fit Plus is better than what I just did with Bob.

I just got the game and played it for the first time today. The one thing I can't figure out is how to see my total calories burned for the whole day. It showed me after each activity, but I wasn't paying close attention. I thought there would be a way to see a summary of the whole day, but all I can see is where I can track my calories eaten and a graph that shows my weight loss progress. Does anybody have any experience with figuring this out? I'll be disappointed if there's no way to see a whole day "calorie burn" total. : - (

Thanks for the report on this..... hmmm not so sure about the 900 calories, you know me, this is very low especially if you are going to be burning calories working out.... but then if those calories consist of veggies look how much you can eat emoticon emoticon emoticon
