So I wrote this "it's over and it wasn't too bad" entry yesterday about Halloween. And then the day unraveled into a total slug day. I watched old PBS aired shows on the streaming internet, procrastinated doing any household chores, inside or out (despite a beautiful day)... and even dug out the carefully wrapped and put into the car to transport AWAY from the house Halloween candy and ate leftovers.
At the end of the day, I had accumulated only about 2500 steps on the pedometer... that's how much of a slug-day it was. Rather than treadmill to the baseball game, I brushed and flossed my teeth to it, sitting up in bed. Fell asleep and woke up long enough to see the Yankees won it, and back to sleep.
This morning, I was still dragging my feet... and then I re-read the encouraging comments on yesterday's entry, planned out today, packed my lunch, and am ready to start in again.
One day at a time. Today, I am choosing to be a better day that yesterday. Yesterday is in the past. Today is all I have. Tomorrow is too far away to consider. Today I have a choice.
