It is official...

I am officially registered for the Run the Republic stair climb on February 28 2010. I will also be celebrating my 5 year quit! I quit smoking on February 14 2005, so doing this stair climb for the Colorado chapter of the American Lung Association is a cause near and dear to my heart. It is 56 flights of stairs in the tallest building in Denver, or as our team name reflects 714 vertical feet! I did it last year in 17:04, and my goals for this year are: #1 beat my brother (who smokes, is a party animal, 10 years older than me and whom I barely beat last year!) , #2 beat my husband and #3 shave 34 seconds off my time. I know it isn't much, but it is a goal I want to meet! Please check out my link to our team (MISSION 714') and feel free to join me, or pledge to a great cause.

Hope we are all off to a great week and a successful, healthy month!

These are awesome goals! If i was in better shape, I would drive to Denver and join you but I know after the first two levels, I would need medical attention! Can I shoot to join you next year?
