Today is Halloween and many of us are going to be exposed to all manner of candies and treats.

Just do the best you can. Tomorrow is another day.

Fortunately, Halloween is not a big holiday for me at all. I am also fortunate that I live in a neighborhood where there are not a lot of houses, and we have not had trick or treaters for years. Even my own kids went to other neighborhoods for trick or treating when they were of that age. I have not bought Halloween candy for two years since I have been on Spark People and since my son, who could afford to eat the candy, has not been home. I thought we might get some kids this year with it being a Saturday, but we did not. I had some coins to give out and we do have some candy at home for us (I try to avoid it at all costs, not always successfully) which we could have used.

Now on to Thanksgiving. In contrast, that is a huge holiday for us and will present a challenge.

I didn't have one piece of candy - not one. I'm feeling god about that. Now if only the rest of the upcoming holidays go as well.

Hugs,
Marty
