WHAT A DAY have PRAYER requests

Friday, October 30, 2009

I'm enclosing an article from our local newspaper about a man who was killed on the job yesterday. It's hitting me HARD, because #1. This company has worked in our neighborhood. #2. This man and his family are BEST FRIENDS of the guy we're working on hiring to cut our tree's NEXT WEEK. (TWO DIFFERENT COMPANIES.......) #3. We're getting 5 tree's in the next week or so cut and NOW THIS HAPPENS. I DON'T like getting tree's cut, but to have this happen THE WEEK BEFORE LOCALLY MAKES IT HARDER!!!!!!!!!! MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE HOME OWNERS WHO HAD HIM ON THEIR PROPERTY DOING THIS JOB!!!!!!!!!!! It would be extremely HARD for me to deal with if someone I hired to do work at my house DIED while doing the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tree service owner dies in accident
Friday, October 30, 2009

Moncks Corner The owner of a tree service was killed Thursday while trimming a tree.

Donald Twiggs, 46, owner of Twiggs and Twiggs LLC Tree Service, was trimming one tree when a nearby tree fell over and pinned him, Berkeley County Deputy Coroner Bill Salisbury said.

The accident occurred shortly after noon on Stallion Lane, about five miles south of Moncks Corner, Salisbury said.

The death was investigated by the Coroner's Office and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. The cause of death was trauma to the head and it has been ruled accidental, Salisbury said. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration also was asked to investigate the accident, Salisbury said.

SECOND PRAYER REQUEST:

There's a man we know Donald Craven that has been having some stomach problems for the last few months and it's gotten REAL BAD the last 2-3 weeks. He's now going for all kinds of tests and he's lost 10 lbs due to having trouble eating. Please pray they get to the bottom of all this SOON and can resolve it and that it's not anything serious. Also, pray for PEACE for the whole family.

THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PRAYERS and I'll keep you posted with any and all information I find out.

I handle injury claims for people. Tree cutting is dangerous and high risk. OSHA is to investigate any fatal injuries on the job. It is very very sad. So sorry so much is happening to everyone...They are all lucky to have someone like you out there praying for them.
