IMREADYTODOIT asked how it was going... BDL is going slow, but moving forward. Acquiring the skills is an ongoing process. these are skills that I need.
VANDAL said I am committed, I am... but application has been challenging. Perseverance will get me there.
Okay, I am making "slow" and steady progress. Now that I have reviewed the Success Skills and awarded percentages I see where I need to direct my efforts. Now to come up with solutions. I will be rereading the sections on the 5 out of 9 skills that need work.
1. Motivation - I need to read my cards twice daily.
Solution: ummmm.... this took a bit... but I shall place my cards with my meds.
2. Weigh daily- "It's just information, not who I am." Solution: for now I shall just use the Dr.'s scale. Next weigh in is in December.
4. Give myself credit.
Solution:Reading my cards will remind me. (Woo Hoo! 4 out of 9 skills are good)
5. Get moving. find winter exercises.
Solution: Keep experimenting to find what works for me. Make an appointment for exercise and honor it.
6. Overcome hunger, cravings and emotional eating.
Solution: I just need more practice for it to become habit.There are 6 experiments to work with in BDL. I will review which will best assist me in the changes I need to make.
I have my work cut out for me, but I like where this path is taking me.
